DRDO Apprentices Recruitment 2024: Defence Scientific Information & Documentation Centre Metcalfe House, Delhi-110054, has released a notification for the recruitment of Apprentices.
Application for Engagement of Apprentices (under Apprentice Act 1961) for one year. Defence Scientific Information & Documentation Centre (DESIDOC) under the aegis of Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO), engages apprentices under the Apprentices Act.1961 purely for ONE YEAR apprenticeship training for the Financial Year 2024-2025. Applications are invited for the engagement of apprenticeship trainees in the following disciplines.

- Library & Information Science No. of Vacancies-25
- Computer Science No. of Vacancies-5*
Essential Qualification for DRDO Apprentices Recruitment:
What are the educational qualification for the applications of DRDO –in detail below;
- Graduation+ Degree in Library & Information Science (One year) from recognized University/Institute
- 12th+Diploma in Library Science (Three Years) from recognized University/Institute
- Diploma in computer Science
UPPER AGE Limit:
Candidates should be maximum of 28 years age on date of written/interview (relaxable by five years for SC/ST and three years for OBC candidates)
Stipend Rate Rs. (Per month):
- Library & Information Science -9000/-
- Computer Science -8000/-
Selection Procedure and Criteria:
Candidates will be selected on written/interview basis after short listing on the merit basis (percentage/marks of essential qualification).The mode of selection may change as per the requirements of organization.
Shortlisted candidates must bring all original relevant certificates at the time of verification/interview.
The board will be constituted by Director DESIDOC for scrutiny of the applications and to shortlist the candidates (as per the vacancies indicated above) as per selection criteria.

It is mandatory for candidates to enroll themselves on National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal (http://www.mhrdnats.gov.in) or (http://nats.education.gov.in) before applying for apprenticeship training.
