Eligibility:
JRF:
- Master’s degree (M.Sc/M.Tech) in Microbiology/Biotechnology with first division in both graduate and postgraduate levels.
- NET/GATE qualification is mandatory.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in gene editing and related fields.
RA:
- Ph.D. degree in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Life Sciences or related fields with a minimum of two years of research experience.
- Experience in relevant research areas, such as biofuels, fermentation technology, and analytical techniques, is desirable.
- Preference will be given to candidates with publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Selection Process:
Selection will be based on a walk-in-interview to be held on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2024, at DIBER, Haldwani. Candidates are advised to bring their original academic certificates, mark sheets, a detailed CV, and a copy of the advertisement.

Common Guidelines for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF):
- Mode of selection: Walk-in interview at DIBER (DRDO) Haldwani on 03.04.2024 (Wednesday).
- Stipends to Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Research Associate (RA) will be paid Rs. 37000/- and 67000/- per month with HRA, respectively.
- The award of JRF will be as per DRDO & National Agency’s Research Fellowship rules. The offer of fellowship does not confer on fellows any right for absorption in DRDO.
- Age not exceeding 28 years and 35 years for JRF and RA respectively as on the date of interview. Age relaxation is allowed for up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates respectively.
- Candidates possessing a degree/ provisional degree certificate are only eligible to apply.
- Application form with supporting documents in PDF format to be submitted online on email ID director.diber@gov.in by 02.04.2024 or One set document (self-attested) to be submitted during reporting time.
- JRF will be allowed to register for Ph.D. with any recognized University/ Institution during the tenure of the fellowship.
- Candidates are required to produce original certificates/testimonials at the time of interview. The candidate is required to produce a copy of published research papers and a thesis also at the time of the interview.
- Candidates presently employed in Government Department/ PSU’s/ Autonomous Bodies are required to produce NOC from their employer at the time of the interview.
- The decision of Center Head DIBER (DRDO) Haldwani will be final in case of any discrepancy.
