SSC MTS Answer Key 2023 – How to calculate?
Using the SSC MTS answer key, candidates can estimate their tier 1 exam score and prepare accordingly for the tier 2 descriptive paper. To calculate the marks, follow the steps below:
- The first point to note about Tier 1 of the SSC MTS exam is that it comprises four sections, each containing 25 questions.
- Each question in Tier 1 carries one mark, with a total of 100 marks for the entire section.
- Candidates should be aware that negative marking applies to incorrect answers, with a deduction of 0.25 marks per wrong answer.
- Every correct answer in Tier 1 of the SSC MTS exam will add one mark to the candidate’s score.
- Candidates should deduct 0.25 marks for each incorrect response.
- After calculating the marks, candidates will have an estimated score.
- The secured marks can be calculated using the formula: number of correct answers – (0.25 X number of incorrect answers).
As an illustration, suppose you attempted 80 out of the total 100 questions in tier 1, and among them, 60 are correct and 20 are incorrect. In this case, your total score will be calculated as follows: (60 x 1) – (0.25 x 20) = 60 – 5 = 55 marks.
