Child Aadhaar Card Apply: Today we will discuss how to apply for children’s Aadhaar card at home. Since fingerprints of children start changing till the age of 5 years, Blue Aadhaar Card is taken for children between 1-5 years of age.
You can apply for child’s Aadhaar card only if you have a smartphone/computer. Aadhaar information of the child’s guardian is required to collect this blue aadhaar card.
How to apply for blue aadhaar card? / Aadhaar Card Enrollment Process for the Children
First go to myaadhar.gov.in website and go to Book an appointment option. Then a new page will open. Click on the Select option below. If your city/area name is not there then click on Book an appointment at registered run aadhar seva kendra right below it. Now submit with mobile number, captcha code and OTP on next page.
Now a new page will appear in front of you, here New Enrollment and Update Aadhaar will show two options. Click on New Enrollment option as you want to create a new Aadhaar card for the child. On the next page select applicant name, date of birth, gender, resident type (citizenship) and click on save option.

Now a new form will open in front of you. Here fill the name of guardian (mother/father/other), Aadhaar number, Care of and PIN properly. Then enter the name of your village/town in the Relative’s Address section. Contact number, post office, district and state name will be displayed automatically. Child’s Birth Certificate/Parent’s Job Card/Passport – Select the document you will have from the below documents option and save and proceed.
Then a review and submit page will appear on your device screen. Check all the information carefully and submit by clicking the Check Box and your Application ID will be generated. You can download or note down the Application Id if you want.
How to book an appointment For blue aadhaar card?
After receiving the Application ID click on Book Appointment next to Receive Download. The page that will appear. Here you want to go to the Aadhaar service center or if you do not know the name of the Aadhaar center, type the pincode and click on Check Details. Aadhaar Seva Kendras available near you will appear on the screen. Click on Book Appointment next to the center to select the Aadhaar center where the child will be photographed.
Now select the available date and time for photographing for the selected Aadhaar center and submit and confirm. Now Aadhaar enrollment slip will be generated on the screen. Download and print the slip. With this slip you have to go to the specified center at the scheduled time.
Necessary documents:- When visiting the Aadhaar Seva Kendra on the specified day and time, you must bring the parent’s Aadhaar card, child’s birth certificate, Aadhaar Enrollment Certificate and the child. Once the photograph of the child is taken, the new Aadhaar card will be delivered by post to the address mentioned in the application form within 2 weeks of taking the photograph.
Note that blue Aadhaar card is valid upto 5 years of age. If the child is above 5 years of age, it is necessary to update the biometrics and apply for a normal Aadhaar card.
