IOCL APPRENTICES Recruitment 2024: Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (Pipelines Division) (A Government of India Undertaking) has released a notification for the recruitment of Apprentices for various states. ENGAGEMENT OF APPRENTICES UNDER THE APPRENTICES ACT, 1961 IN THE PIPELINES DIVISION OF INDIAN OIL CORPORATION LTD.
Applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals meeting the following qualifications & other parameters for the engagement of around 473 Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 (as amended from time to time) in the trades as mentioned below:
- Mechanical
- Electrical
- T&I
- Human Resource
- Accounts/Finance
- Data Entry Operator
Mechanical/Electrical & T&I For Technician Apprentice:
- Leprosy cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack victims
- Multiple disabilities from amongst above (i) (a)
Accountant For Trade Apprentice:
- Hard of Hearing
- Musculoskeletal (One Leg, Both Legs), Leprosy Cured, Dwarfism, Acid Attack Victims

Technician Apprentice Mechanical –
Three years (or two years through lateral entry after ITI of minimum one-year duration/10+2) full-time Diploma in any of the following disciplines of Engineering from a Govt. recognized institute/ University:

Technician Apprentice Electrical –
Three years (or two years through lateral entry after ITI of minimum one-year duration/10+2) full-time Diploma in any of the following disciplines of Engineering from a Govt. recognized institute/ University:
- Electrical Engineering
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Technician Apprentice Telecommunication & Instrumentation –
Three years (or two years through lateral entry after ITI of minimum one-year duration/10+2) full-time Diploma in any of the following disciplines of Engineering from a Govt. recognized institute/ University:
- Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
- Electronics & Radio Communication Engineering
- Instrumentation & Control Engineering

Trade Apprentice (Assistant Human Resource –
Full-time bachelor’s degree (Graduation) from a Govt. recognized institute/University.
Trade Apprentice (Accountant) –
Full-time bachelor’s degree (Graduation) in Commerce from a Govt. recognized institute/University
Data Entry Operator (Fresher Apprentices) –
- Minimum 12th pass (but below graduate)
Domestic Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holders) –
Minimum 12th pass (but below Graduate). Additionally, candidates should possess a Skill Certificate of „Domestic Data Entry Operator‟ for the training of less than one year issued by an awarding body recognized under the National Skill Qualifications Framework or any other authority recognized by the Central Govt.
AGE CRITERIA:
Minimum 18 years and maximum 24 years as of 12.01.2024 which is the date for reckoning any eligibility criteria.
DURATION OF APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING:
- Technician Apprentice (Elect/Mech/T&I): 12 months
- Trade Apprentices (Assistant HR/Accountant): 12 months
- Data Entry Operator and Domestic Data Entry Operator: 12-month Period of Apprenticeship Training may be revised under certain circumstances as provided under the Apprentices Rules 1992.
STIPEND:
The rate of stipend payable to apprentices per month shall be as prescribed under Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 / Apprentices Rules 1992 (as amended) and the Corporation’s guidelines.
REQUIREMENT BEFORE FILLING ONLINE APPLICATION FORM:

For Technician Apprentices: With the concerned Regional Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) in their portal National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) under the Ministry of Human Resource Development. For Trade Apprentices (Optional Trades): With National Skill Development Council (NSDC) at https://apprenticeshipindia.org/ After successful registration with the above agencies, a registration number will be generated and the candidate has to mention this registration number while applying for apprentice positions in Indian Oil Pipelines portal at https://plapps.indianoilpipelines.in/.

- Candidates meeting the above-prescribed eligibility criteria should visit our IOCL website https://plapps.indianoilpipelines.in/ and apply Online from 12.01.2024 till 01.02.2024 by 18:00 hours.
- Paper-based applications will NOT be accepted.
There are two steps to the Registration process. Part-I & Part-II. In Part-I registration, the candidate has to fill in his/her basic details like name, category, etc. and has to create his password. After successful Part-I registration, system system-generated registration number is sent to his registered email ID/SMS. With this registration number, the candidate has again to log into the system with the password generated by him. Candidates are advised to remember their registration number and password for future reference/use.
In Part II registration, the candidate has to upload his scanned photograph and signature furnish educational qualification, experience details, etc., and submit the same. This is the final submission process and after that candidate cannot change the details furnished. Candidates are therefore advised to furnish the details in the portal carefully and check the same before final submission.

Required documents of IOCL APPRENTICES Recruitment 2024:
What are the documents required for the applications of IOCL –in detail below;
- The following original documents along with a self-attested copy should be furnished at the time of Document Verification:
- 10th pass/Matriculation certificate issued by the concerned education board as proof of date of birth. No other document will be accepted for verification of date of birth.
- SC/ST/OBC/Disability/EWS-Income & Asset certificate by reserved category candidates in the prescribed format issued by the Competent Authority.
- OBC non-creamy layer status should be valid and the OBC certificate issued by the Competent Authority should be the latest one. Formats of Certificates are available in the Detailed Notification as well as in https://plapps.indianoilpipelines.in/ under the downloads section.
- Semester-wise / year-wise mark sheets and Certificate of full-time Diploma in Engineering in respective Discipline.
- Pre-engagement Medical fitness certificate declaring the candidate medically Fit 6) Any other certificate, if applicable
SELECTION METHODOLOGY:
The selection process would consist of a Written Test.
The written Test shall be of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs‟s) consisting of 4 options with one correct option. The candidate has to choose the correct option.
There shall be 100 questions in the Written Test and the Total marks shall be 100. Each correct answer shall carry 1 mark.
There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers.
