ISRO Recruitment 2023: INDIAN SPACE RESEARCH ORGANISATION [ISRO] has released a notification for the engagement of a Scientist/ Engineer. There are total 303 vacancies.

Online applications are invited from meritorious graduates for the following vacancies of Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in Level 10 of Pay Matrix at constituent ISRO Centres (Group ‘A’ Gazetted posts) and in an Autonomous Body under DOS (Group ‘A’ Non-Gazetted posts).

Educational Qualification:

BE/ B.Tech or equivalent in Electronics & Communication Engineering with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10. ((Electronics/ Mechanical/Computer Science/Electronics – Autonomous Body – PRL/Computer Science – Autonomous Body – PR)

Age Limit:

What is the age limit for the applications of ISRO –in detail below;

28 years as on 14.06.2023. Serving Central Govt. employees, Ex-Servicemen; Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, are eligible for age relaxation as per Govt. of India orders.

Pay and Allowances (Salary Amount):

The salary amount for the recruitment of ISRO –in detail below;

Selected candidates will be appointed as Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in Level 10 of Pay Matrix and will be paid minimum basic pay of ₹.56,100/- p.m. In addition, Dearness Allowance [DA], House Rent Allowance [HRA] and Transport Allowance are payable as per extant rules on the subject.

The employees will be governed by the New Pension Scheme. Further, medical facilities for self and dependents, subsidised canteen, limited quarters facility (in lieu of HRA), Leave Travel Concession, Group Insurance, House Building Advance, etc. are admissible as per Central Government orders.

Application Fee for ISRO Recruitment:

The Application Fee is ₹.250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty only) for each application. Those candidates desirous to apply for multiple post have to separately remit application fee of Rs.250/-. Candidates may make the payment ‘online’ using Internet Banking/Debit Card or ‘offline’ by visiting nearest SBI Branch. Candidates after submitting their application can pay application fee immediately or any day before the last date for fee payment which is 16.06.2023.

If the candidate wants to pay the application fee later, then payment can be made any time before closure of the advertisement by accessing the “Make Payment” link available in advertisement page. Candidate has to provide Registration number, Date of Birth and later click on the “Make Payment” button and follow the payment process as outlined below –

The candidates on clicking the Make Payment button will be redirected to State Bank Multi Option Payments Systems (MOPS) page. The candidate may choose one of the payment modes shown below for making payment.

Selection Process:

What is the selection process for the recruitment of ISRO –in detail below;

Written test will be conducted at eleven venues viz., Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi and Thiruvananthapuram. However, ISRO reserves the right to cancel/change the written test venue and re-allot the candidates to any other test centre. The call letters for written test will be sent only to the registered e-mail ID of candidates.

The pattern of the Question Paper for the Written Test:

Single objective type paper consisting of two parts, viz. Part ‘A’ and Part ‘B’, with a duration of 120 minutes (with compensation time as applicable for PwBD candidates).

Part ‘A’ – Area/Discipline Specific part – Consists of 80 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 1 mark each (+1 and -1/3 pattern of marking).

Part ‘B’ – Aptitude/Ability Tests – Consists of maximum 15 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) totaling to 20 marks (No negative marks). Questions will be based on Numerical Reasoning, Logical Reasoning, Diagrammatic Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning and Deductive Reasoning.

Interview:

Based on the performance in the written test, candidates will be short-listed for Interview in a ratio of 1:5, with an aggregate minimum of 10 candidates. For reserved vacancies, distinct/additional candidates will be short-listed in the ratio of 1:5 (maximum), without regard to the reserved candidates if any, short-listed under UR category –
