How Are UPSC Written Exam Marks Calculated?

- Paper-I of the UPSC CSE Prelims Exam will have a total weight of 150 marks.
- For each correct response, candidates can add an extra two marks.
- Every incorrect response a candidate provides will result in a negative marking of 0.33.
- There are 80 questions and 200 marks in the Prelims Paper II CSAT.
- +2.5 marks will be added to each question.
- From Question No. 74 through Question No. 80, there is no negative marking because these questions require decision-making, and the UPSC does not remove points for these questions.
