Indian Statistical Institute Recruitment 2023: Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) has released a notification for the recruitment of a Project Linked Person (Linguistics) purely on a temporary basis to work in the project titled “Bengali WordNet Augmentation and Upgradation (2021-2024)” in the Linguistic Research Unit of the India Statistical Institute, Kolkata.
Applications are invited from Indian Nationals (Bright candidates).
Educational Qualification:
What is the educational qualification for the applications of ISI –in detail below;
(a) 1st Class MA in Linguistics/ Applied Linguistics/ allied discipline with sound knowledge in Bengali lexicon, part-of-speech, semantice, WordNet, and lexicography;
(b) Research experience in the area of Digital Lexicography and Digital Humanities.
Desirable: (a) Working knowledge in MS Office, (b) Experience in working with dictionary making software and NLP Toolkit (c) Basic knowledge of statistical analysis of data using SPSS, (d) Knowledge of lexical semantics and semantic ontology.
Age Limit:

Should not exceed 35 years as on 01 July 2023 with usual relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/ Women/
Salary Amount:

Consolidated salary within the range of 25,000/- (Rupees twenty-five thousand only) to 30,000/- (Rupees thirty thousand only) per month with no other allowances.
