JoharTapshili Bandhu scheme: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has launched several social and philanthropic schemes for the state’s people. One of them is Joy Johar and Tapashili Bandhu project. Today I will discuss who can apply for this project, how to apply, and what documents are required.
What is the Joy Johar/Tapshili Bandhu project?
The central and state governments provide various allowances in the social security sector to all eligible persons who are able to work due to old age. Then, the Jai Johar/Tapashili Bandhu scheme offered by the state government is one such scheme. Although it sounds different, it is actually the same project. Scheduled Caste people get the benefit of the Tapashili Bandhu scheme and Scheduled Tribe people get used of the Jai Johar scheme.
Who Can Apply/Application Eligibility:- Applicants must have the following qualifications to apply for Tapashili Bandhu/Jai Johar Scheme.
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
- Applicant must belong to Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe.
- Applicant must be 60 years of age or above.
- If your name is included in any social security category provided by the state or central government, you will not get the benefit of this scheme.

Application Process for JoharTapshili Bandhu scheme
Download the application form from the official website or collect it from the government camp at Duar. All information in the form should be written in block letters in English. *Additional fields must be filled. First, tick the scheme for which you are applying. Then enter Personal Details.
Then put the monthly income of the family in the box of Monthly Income. Now enter digital ration card, Aadhaar, voter, and PAN card numbers in the field of Personal Identification Number. Then in the Contact Details section, you have to give all the information about your address. Just below this, in the Bank Account Details box, write the bank account number, and IFS Code correctly.
Now fill in the Self Declaration section. If you are receiving a pension under any other scheme, tick the appropriate one below. Finally, the applicant should sign and date and submit the necessary documents at the nearest door to the government camp.

- Xerox of Aadhaar Card.
- Xerox of Voter Cord.
- Passport size color photograph.
- Xerox of digital ration cards.
- Xerox of caste certificate.
- Family Income Certificate.
- Bank Account Details.
How much pension you will get:-
If enrollment in this scheme is successful, you will get Rs 1,000 per month both in Tapashili Bandhu and Joy Johar. The money is directly transferred to the bank account of every eligible person by the state government.
Where to get the application form and where to submit the form?
You can collect this form from the government camp at Duar or from the nearest panchayat or block office. Or you can also print the application form from the official website. The application form along with the necessary documents should be submitted at the concerned village panchayat office, BDO office, or at the nearest government camp.
