Vacancies:
About 24 posts of primary teachers and group DOC will be recruited. This is only for one district. After that, other districts will also start the recruitment process.
Eligibility:
To apply for the post of teacher, you must have teaching experience. Also, in the case of application in primary school, the applicant must have passed higher secondary with 45 to 50 percent marks or must be a graduate in any discipline. Preference will be given to retired teachers.
On the other hand, in the case of application in upper primary, the applicant should have a master’s / postgraduate degree in the relevant subject and should have teaching experience in the relevant subject.
The subjects on which the application is sought for the post of teacher are,
- Bengali
- English
- Mathematics
- History
- Geography
To apply for Group D and C posts, one must have passed the 8th standard, must know how to read and write Bengali (Nepali will be exempted), and must be an Indian citizen.
Age Limit :
Job seekers who are above 18 years of age can apply here. But there is an upper age limit of 45 years i.e. less than 45 years can apply. But the reserved category candidates will get age relaxation here as per government rules.
Salary:
Those who will be employed here will be paid teachers – around Rs.22,700/- to Rs.37,500/-, Group D & C – around Rs.12,700/- to Rs.22,500/- per month. Each post has a different pay structure.
Selection Process:
The exam will be conducted in two phases. 1) Written Exam, 2) Oral Exam. First, you have to give the written test, if you pass you will be called for a direct interview. After interview selection, job seekers will be given appointment letters after document verification.
Place of Employment:
The successful and eligible candidates shortlisted for recruitment to the mentioned primary and upper primary schools will be appointed to multiple English and Bengali medium schools in the district under the South 24 Parganas District Administration of West Bengal under the State Education Department. However, this appointment is completely contract based.

Candidates need not apply separately. The applicant is asked to appear in the concerned office between 7th to 9th June at 10 AM along with all proofs of his educational qualification and experience along with his biodata i.e. biodata for a direct interview.
