Smart Cities in India | These 22 cities will become ‘Smart City’ in the next month!
The goal is the same. To improve the quality of life of the citizens. And with that aim, all the projects under the Smart City Mission of 22 big cities of the country will be completed within the next month. It also includes major cities like Agra, Varanasi, Chennai, Pune, and Ahmedabad. Central officials aware of this matter have said so.

On 25 June 2015, the Central Government launched the Smart City Mission. A total of 100 cities were selected for reconstruction through four rounds of competition from 2016 to 2018.
The core infrastructure of these cities is being improved through the Smart City Mission. Emphasis is placed on the quality of life and the development of clean and environment-friendly cities.
The list of these 22 cities includes Bhopal, Indore, Agra, Varanasi, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Erode, Ranchi, Salem, Surat, Udaipur, Visakhapatnam, Ahmedabad, Kakinada, Pune, Vellore, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Madurai, Amravati, Tiruchirappalli and Thanjavur.
