SSC CHSL 2023 Tier-1:The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the tier 1 results of the Combined Higher Secondary Examination (SSC CHSL 2023). A total of 19,556 candidates have been shortlisted for the tier 2 examination, which is tentatively scheduled for November 2.
To check the result, candidates can visit the official website of SSC at ssc.nic.in. They will need to enter their registration number and password to log in.

The category-wise cut-off marks for the tier 2 examination are as follows:
- Unreserved: 30 per cent
- OBC/EWS: 25 per cent
- All other categories: 20 percent

The following is the number of candidates selected for various vacancies:
- For LDC/JSA: 17,495 candidates
- For DEO (CAG & DCA): 754 candidates
- For DEO (other than CAG & DCA): 1,307 candidates
The result of 10 candidates has been withheld for various reasons.
SSC said that representations to the provisional answer key were examined carefully and wherever necessary, changes have been made and the final answer key has been prepared. Marks and final answer key will be uploaded on the website soon.

Candidates who have qualified for the tier 2 examination are advised to start preparing for it immediately. The tier 2 examination is a descriptive examination and will consist of two papers:
- Paper I: Essay
- Paper II: Letter/Application Writing
The total marks for the tier 2 examination are 100. Candidates who score equal to or more than 40 percent in the tier 2 examination will be shortlisted for the skill test.
The skill test will be conducted for the post of DEO (Data Entry Operator) only. The skill test will consist of typing and computer skills tests. Candidates who qualify for the skill test will be considered for final selection.
